Terms of services

Terms & Conditions between client and Discovery Tours Egypt:

Your contract will be with Discovery Tours an Egyptian tour operator. Operating under license 718 (since 1988). Discovery Tours is a member of the Egyptian travel agent association (ETAA) for your financial security.

To Secure Your Payment:

To secure your payment you must initially notify the company with your request .Then the company representative will discus, finalize with you the final arrangement and send you the details in the final confirmation. You must confirm these details and make the correct deposit/payment, as discussed in your details; to the company account by wire transfer or credit card (Visa™ or MasterCard™ Cards are accepted) or via other online purchase by our third party operators or partners.

Amendments by the Client:

Any amendment made to the original booking is subject to availability. If the full payment has been received, and/or voucher has been issued, NO administrative fees will be applied. Except in the flight tickets issue there will be an administrative fee.

Payment Policy:

Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the desired holiday or voucher, Space will be secured upon receive a deposit of 25% or at 50%, especially during the Christmas and New Year holidays and the packages with or without flights. This deposit forms part of your final payment. Deposits can only be made by bank or you may send via Western Union or by credit cards (Visa™ or MasterCard™ ) and should be received within 7 days of booking.

Payment by Monthly Instalments:

Discovery Tours offer you a new payment plan that allows you to pay your tours, Nile cruise holiday and travel packages in monthly instalments:

You will pay a certain amount on every month depending on the total amount of your tour booked with us to cover 25% or 50% (during Christmas /New Year and Easter Periods ) from the total amount by 6 monthly instalments before your arrival.

The balance of payment to be paid upon arrival in Egypt in cash or by credit / debit cards, and you can pay by monthly instalments the 100% before your arriving Egypt.

Accommodation

Unless otherwise stated, generally it is based on two persons sharing a room (twin sharing). Room for single occupant is available with an additional of supplementary rate. Hotels and lodges are named as an indication/guide of category and rooms may be reserved at similar establishments. Published prices are based on tariff and other costs prevailing at the time of printing, and are subject to change without notice:

Company Licence

Discovery Tours is an official Tourism Company; our tourism licence number 718 was granted by the Ministry of Tourism on the 7th February 1988.

Flights

Domestic Flights:

A)- The programs quoted on the average price of flights with approximate timings:

  • Cairo – Luxor At 05:30 am arriving at 06:30
  • Aswan – Cairo at 22:00 at 23:30 & Vice versa..etc
  • Incase you need to adjust your flight timings it will be subject to extra supplement.

    B)- Luxor/Sharm (most time, it is connected flight via Cairo Airport)

    International Flights

    “Discovery Tours can assist you with international flights if needed. However, from our experience international flights are best issued from point of departure, where the client has access to a wider range of price options and availability.” The only way to pay for the international flights is through bank transfer to Discovery Tours Egypt Account.

    Refund Policy

    A refund will normally be made to the same card account and using the same method as the original payment. No refunds are possible for No-Show

    Payment by Credit Card Requirements:

    If paying by credit card, according to our bank regulations, the following documents are required to enable our accountant to charge your credit card for the service agreed:

  • A copy of your passport.
  • A copy of both sides of your credit card with your own signature.
  • An authorization letter to Discovery Tours allowing the withdrawal of the required amount from your credit card with original signature (same one should appear in your credit card and passport).
  • These documents should be received by fax, e-mail, or given to our representative upon your arrival at the airport; otherwise we won’t be able to proceed with your request.
  • Payment by Bank Transfer is available, please request our bank details from our accounts department.

    Cancellation Policy

    Cancellation should be received in writing document by fax or email. In case the cancellation happened before 30 days from the departure date it will be subjected to 6% of the total amount received it will deducted by the bank as a transaction fees. If a tour participant cancels his/her reservation the following fees will be applies:

    In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied:

  • Between 40 and 30 days before your arrival date, 25% of the entire tour price will be deducted.
  • Between 29 and 21 days before your arrival date 50% of the entire tour price will be deducted.
  • Between 20 and 14 days before your arrival date 75% of the entire tour price will be deducted.
  • Between 13 and 1 days before your arrival date 100% of the entire tour price will be deducted.
  • Also, there is cancellation fees on all domestic flights in case you book a tour and you would like to cancel it at any time before starting your tours. The cancellation fees of the domestic flights are subject to the airlines cancellation policy which changes from case to case.

    Responsibility

    We act only as an agent for the participants in regard to travel, whether by rail road, boat, aircraft, or any other convenience and assumes no liability for injury, illness, damage, loss accident, delay or irregularity to person or property resulting directly or indirectly from any of the following causes; -Weather, acts of God, force major, acts of government or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, labor disputes, riots, theft, mechanical breakdowns, quarantines or acts of default, delays, cancellations or changes of any hotel, carrier, or restaurant. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expenses.

    Special Requests:

    If the Client has any special requests, he should inform the Company at the time of booking. The Company and its suppliers will try to meet such requests but, as these do not form part of the Contract, the Company does not guarantee to do so, including for per-bookable seats. If the Company confirms that a special request has been noted or passed to the supplier or refers to it on the confirmation invoice or elsewhere, this is not a guarantee to meet it. The Client will not be specifically notified if a special request cannot be met. The Company does not accept bookings which are conditional on the fulfillment of any special request.

    Children Policy:

    1st Policy: For Packages + Nile Cruises + Hotels

  • 0 – 01.99 Free of Charge
  • 2 – 5.99 25% of total tour cost
  • 6 – 11.99 50% of total tour cost
  • 12+ Are considered adults
