Tour Overview
Start your Egypt tour in Cairo by visiting the Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum. Then move to Aswan to visit its most famous attractions including the magnificent Phiale Temple located in Aglika Island. The tour also includes a day trip to the stunning temple of Ramses II in Abu Simbel. Continue to Luxor and explore the famous Ancient Egyptian temples on the East and west banks of the Nile, including Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Medinet Habu and the magnificent Karnak Temple. You will take a tour in the Valley of Kings and Valley of Queens, where royal Pharaonic Kings and their wives were buried in amazingly decorated tombs. Continue your tour back in Cairo as you visit the famous Citadel and the Churches of Old Cairo, and discover the step pyramids of Sakkara and Memphis. You will end your Egypt tour with a day trip to Alexandria where you will visit its most famous historical sights.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival Day
Your tour leader will meet you inside the arrival area; he will assist you through the airport formalities (arrival procedures) and then transfer you by private air conditioned vehicle to your hotel. Your tour leader will assist you with hotel check in and review your holiday itinerary with you to Prepare and confirm pick-up times for each tour.
Day 2 The Pyramids of Giza & Egyptian Museum
After Breakfast, check out and then your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle. The Egyptologist will be guiding you throughout the duration of the trip today to some of the most amazing historical sites in Egypt. Enjoy the civilization of the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus of Giza which are erected on a rocky plateau on the west bank of the Nile River near Giza in Cairo. In ancient times they were included amongst the Seven Wonders of the World, and then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of pharaoh with a lion’s body, which dates from the time of Chephren, the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple facing the great statue. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, then proceed to visit the Egyptian Museum where you can see the collection of Tutankhamen amongst other splendid pharaonic artifacts which is said to exceed more than 120,000 items on display. Later, you will be transferred to Cairo trains station for departure to Aswan. Dinner is served on the sleeper train
Day 3 Felucca Ride
Breakfast is served on the sleeper train. Upon arrival to Aswan, you will be transferred to your hotel for checking in, then your tour leader will be escort you to enjoy a 2 hours relaxing boat ride while enjoying some sights of Aswan including the famous botanical gardens and Elephantine Island.
Day 4 High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk & Philae Temple
After Breakfast, your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle. The Egyptologist will be guiding you throughout the duration of the trip today to one of the most amazing historical sites in Egypt. Enjoy visiting the significant construction which called the High Dam, Known as Saad el Aali in Arabic Aswan High Dam is one of the greatest engineering miracles of this world. Constructed in 1960’s, was built to control the annual flood of the Nile River. Proceed to visit the Unfinished Obelisk, one of the most popular sites in ancient Aswan and provides immense insight into the stone working methods employed by the ancient Egyptians. Then move to visit the spectacular Philae Temple, which was dedicated to the goddess Isis, the wife of Osiris and mother of Horus.
Day 5 Abu Simbel day tour
After Breakfast, your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle and transfer you to visit the two temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered the masterpieces of ancient Egypt, the great sun temple of RamsesII and the temple of queen Nefertari, Ramses II built the temple mostly to honor himself as inside there is a mural depicting his famous victory at Qadesh battle where his army defeated his enemies. Nefertrai Temple which was built by Ramses II to his favourite wife queen Nefertai among other 200 wives and concubines.
Day 6 Kom Ombo & Edfu Temples
After Breakfast, your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle. The Egyptologist will be guiding you throughout the duration of the trip today to one of the most amazing historical sites in Egypt. Enjoy visiting the two temples of Kom Ombo which consisting of a Temple to Sobek and a Temple of Haroeris. Then move to visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Horus at Edfu.
Day 7 Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon & Hatshepsut Temple
After Breakfast, check out and then your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle and transfer you to Aswan airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival to Luxor, you will be escorted to your hotel for checking in, then enjoy a tour starting with the Valley of the Kings, whose perfectly decorated tombs displays the life after death. Move to Hatshepsut Temple, dedicated to the sun god Amon-Ra and is located next to the mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II which was built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty. Then visit the Colossi of Memnon, are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
Day 8 The Valley of Queens, Tombs of the Nobles & Medinet Habu
After Breakfast at the hotel, your tour leader will transfer you to enjoy the Valley of Queens, the secret necropolis of the royal wives. Move to visit the Valley of the Nobles, where the Tomb of Ramose shows the art of the Akhenaton’s era. Proceed to visit of the Temple of Medinet Habu where Ramses III engraved for eternity its successful battles against the Sea People.
Day 9 Luxor & Karnak Temple
After Breakfast, check out and then your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle. The Egyptologist will be guiding you throughout the duration of the trip today to some of the most amazing historical sites in Luxor. Enjoy the marvelous Karnnak, which comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings, and Luxor Temple, which was founded in 1400 BCE. Later, you will be transferred to Luxor train station for departure to Cairo. Dinner is served on the sleeper train
Day 10 The Citadel, Old Cairo & Khan El Khalili
After Breakfast, your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle. The Egyptologist will be guiding you throughout the duration of the trip today to some of the most amazing historical sites in Egypt. Enjoy a spiritual day tour to the Citadel of Salah El Din where Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque is inside. Continue to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, Abu Srga Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. After that you will discover one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East which is called Khan El Khalili.
Day 11 The Pyramids of Sakkara & Memphis
After Breakfast at your hotel, you will be escorted to Sakkara area to visit the Pyramids of Sakkara which include the world famous Step pyramid of Djoser. Move to Memphis, the old kingdom’s capital and famous Necropolis. Move to the Step Pyramids and Ben Pyramids which is an ancient Egyptian pyramid located at the royal necropolis of Dahshur.
Day 12 Alexandria day tour
After Breakfast, your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle and transfer you to Alexandria. Upon arrival, the Egyptologist will be guiding you throughout the duration of the trip today to the most amazing historical sites in the City. Enjoy visiting the Catacombs of Kum El Shukafa, is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the middle Ages, It was discovered in 1900 after they had been looking for it for about 12 years. Proceed to see Pompey’s Pillar, the largest of its type constructed outside of the imperial capitals of Rome and Constantinople. Move to visit the Alexandria Library, which contain copy of approximate every book published in the world. This makes the library one of the great literary sites in the world. Later, you will be transferred back to Cairo
Day 13 Free day in Cairo
After Breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a free day in Cairo. Overnight at the hotel
Nile cruise dinner (Optional)
In the evening, your tour leader will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle and transfer you to enjoy an exceptional dining experience on board of a Nile boat, enjoying folkloric shows, belly dancing and oriental music while sailing along the Nile for 2 hours.
Day 14 Departure Day
After Breakfast at the hotel, free time before your flight, check out and then your tour leader will transfer you to the Cairo International Airport for departure flight.

Accommodation
All prices are quoted above in a selection of currencies and these are a based on the US Dollar at the rate of exchange when published. Prices are per person per trip and are valid until the 30th April 2019, except during peak seasons such as Christmas, New Year and Easter holidays. Tipping & Gratuities (Clients Discretion)
Throughout all our tour pages you will see the words “tipping & gratuities” always shown within the excluded section of the tab on “specifics”. It is customary in Egypt to express ones satisfaction of the service received from the staff that have looked after him throughout his trip. It is not obligatory however it is well received amongst the staff that will be looking after you; our personal motto is “tip little but often”.
Payment Policy
It is advisable to reserve your Egypt trip as early as possible, thus ensuring that you can relax with the knowledge that you have secured the best trip for you. To ensure the trip is reserved and secured with Discovery Tours Egypt we will request a deposit of 25% from the total amount due, as you can appreciate this deposit counts towards your final payment. Discovery Tours Egypt is able to accept payment by Credit Cards, Bank Transfer and/or Western Union. We are also able to accept PayPal .
Egypt Entrance Visa
Upon arrival to Egypt you need to hold a valid passport with at least 6 months validity beyond your scheduled date of departure. Most countries have the ability to obtain a visa upon arrival for US Dollars 15 per passport. It is suggested that you check with your local Egyptian Consulate before departure if you can obtain a visa on arrival or not.

All our Egypt tours include the sites as per the program however we do not include the special sites within these; such as entering inside the Pyramids, the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum, enter Tomb of Tutankhamen and others. There should always be sufficient time to visit these sites; please liaise with your Egyptologist at the beginning of the tour. They will try their best to provide you with the accurate information advise you of the extra costs and obtain the tickets for you.
