Giza Pyramids, Memphis, and Sakkara

Take a trip to explore the history of Ancient Egypt and Cairo. You will visit the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, before progressing to see the evolution of pyramid building and observing Djoser’s distinctive step pyramid.

You will be transferred from your hotel by our air-conditioned vehicler to visit The three Giza Pyramids known as the Great Pyramids: Cheops ,Chephren and Mykerinos. The Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids. Egyptologists believe that the pyramid was built as a tomb for fourth dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops in Greek) over an approximately 20 year period. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of pharaoh with a lion’s body, which dates from the time of Chephre.

After that move to visit Sakkara, the world’s oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser as step pyramid, its height is 60 meters and consists of 6 steps on top of each other, each is smaller than the one below From the Step Pyramids. Then transfer to Memphis which was founded by King Menes, and was the Capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it was considered to be a center of rule and culture for over 3000 years the first capital of Egypt, and see the Statue of Ramses ll. Transfer back to your hotel.
