Tour Itinerary
Day 1Arrival Day
Your tour leader will meet you inside the arrival area; he will assist you through the airport formalities (arrival procedures) and then transfer you by private air conditioned vehicle to your hotel. Your tour leader will assist you with hotel check in and review your holiday itinerary with you to Prepare and confirm pick-up times for each tour. Overnight at your hotel in Cairo.
Day 2The Pyramids & Great Sphinx
After Breakfast, your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle. The Egyptologist will be guiding you throughout the duration of the trip today to some of the most amazing historical sites in Egypt. Enjoy the civilization of the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus of Giza which are erected on a rocky plateau on the west bank of the Nile River near Giza in Cairo. In ancient times they were included amongst the Seven Wonders of the World, and then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of pharaoh with a lion’s body, which dates from the time of Chephren, the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple facing the great statue.Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3The Citadel & Coptic Cairo
After Breakfast, check out then your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle and escort you to enjoy a spiritual day tour to the Citadel of Salah El Din where Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque is inside. Continue to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, Abu Srga Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Later, you will be transferred to Cairo train station for departure to Luxor. Dinner is served on the sleeper train.
Day 4Karnak & Luxor Temples
Breakfast is served on the sleeper train .Upon arrival to Luxor, your tour leader will escort you to the hotel for checking in; then enjoy a visit to the majestic site of Karnak, dedicated to the God Amun, patron of the New Kingdom’s Pharaohs. Proceed to visit the Temple of Luxor. That’s where the Feast of Opet was held every year to celebrate the floodings of the Nile and the fertily of the land. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5Dendera Temple tour
After Breakfast, your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle and transfer you to Qena, north of Luxor to visit the Temple of Dendera.Dendera is the name of the spectacular temple of Hathor, goddess of love and joy, also known for protecting women and nursing Pharaohs. Secluded at the border of cultivated land and desert, with its richly decorated chapels, its Hathor-headed columns, its obscure corridors and stairs, the unique vestige of the ancient city of Dendera is one of the best preserved most famous monuments in Egypt and offers a splendid view of Upper-Egypt countryside from the roof. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6Abydos tour
After Breakfast, your tour leader will transfer you by air conditioned vehicle to Abydos, a holy city and the cult centre of Osiris, regent of the Kingdom of the Dead and god of resurrection. From the Ancient Kingdom era, Abydos was an exceptional site of pilgrimage. The Temple of Seti I is a wonder with its colorful and fine bas-reliefs. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut Temple & Colossi of Memnon
After Breakfast, your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle. The Egyptologist will be guiding you throughout the duration of the trip today to one of the most amazing historical sites in Egypt, starting with Valley of the Kings whose magnificently decorated tombs tell the afterlife journey of the dead. Move to Hatshepsut Temple, dedicated to the sun god Amon-Ra and is located next to the mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II which was built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty. Then visit the Colossi of Memnon, are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8Kom Ombo & Edfu tour
After breakfast, Check out then your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle and transfer you to Aswan. Upon arrival to Aswan, You will be transferred to your hotel for checking in, then visit Kom Ombo, north of Aswan to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, erected on the Nile banks, on one of the most seducing site of Upper-Egypt. This singular temple was dedicated to two divinities: Horus, the Falcon God and Sobek, the Crocodile God. Proceed to visit Edfu to see one of the best preserved temples of the Ptolemaic Dynasty; its buildings are perfect examples of Ancient Egypt sacred architecture. Day 9Phiale Temple
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy visiting the Temple of Philae, the Pearl of Egypt, in Nubia, dedicated to the cult of the Goddess Isis since the 3rd Century BC. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10Abu Simbel tour
After Breakfast, check out then your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle and transfer you to Abu Simbel. Enjoy visiting the two temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered the masterpieces of ancient Egypt, the great sun temple of RamsesII and the temple of queen Nefertari, Ramses II built the temple mostly to honor himself as inside there is a mural depicting his famous victory at Qadesh battle where his army defeated his enemies. Nefertrai Temple which was built by Ramses II to his favourite wife queen Nefertai among other 200 wives and concubines. Later, you will be transferred to Aswan train station for departure to Cairo. Dinner is served on the sleeper train.
Day 11Free day in Cairo
Breakfast is served on the sleeper train. Upon arrival, your tour leader will transfer you to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight at the hotel
Sound & Light show at the Pyramids (Optional)
In the evening, your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle and escort you to enjoy an exceptional experience at the Pyramids of Giza with a wonderful audio visual display illustrating the history of the Great Sphinx.
Day 12The Egyptian Museum, Sakkara & Memphis
After Breakfast, your qualified Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel with a modern air conditioned vehicle and transfer you to enjoy the Egyptian Museum where you can see the collection of Tutankhamen amongst other splendid pharaonic artifacts which is said to exceed more than 120,000 items on display. Continue to Sakkara area to visit the Pyramids of Sakkara which include the world famous Step pyramid of Djoser. Move to Memphis, the old kingdom’s capital and famous Necropolis. Move to the Step Pyramids and Ben Pyramids which is an ancient Egyptian pyramid located at the royal necropolis of Dahshur. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13Departure Day
After Breakfast at the hotel, free time before your flight, check out and then your tour leader will transfer you to the Cairo International Airport for departure flight.

Accommodation
All prices are quoted above in a selection of currencies and these are a based on the US Dollar at the rate of exchange when published. Prices are per person per trip and are valid until the 30th April 2021, except during peak seasons such as Christmas, New Year and Easter holidays. Single room occupancy is available against the supplement stated above; sometimes it may be a different rate when not travelling as part of a group. Please contact us anytime to check!

As you will be able to see from the table show above we operate a simple children’s price policy as detailed below; please note that any discount does not always apply to any holidays that involve an airfare, we will inform you when you enquire.

Tipping & Gratuities (Clients Discretion)
Throughout all our tour pages you will see the words “tipping & gratuities” always shown within the excluded section of the tab on “specifics”. It is customary in Egypt to express ones satisfaction of the service received from the staff that have looked after him throughout his trip. It is not obligatory however it is well received amongst the staff that will be looking after you; our personal motto is “tip little but often”.
Payment Policy
It is advisable to reserve your Egypt trip as early as possible, thus ensuring that you can relax with the knowledge that you have secured the best trip for you. To ensure the trip is reserved and secured with Discovery Tours Egypt we will request a deposit of 25% from the total amount due, as you can appreciate this deposit counts towards your final payment. Discovery Tours Egypt is able to accept payment by Credit Cards, Bank Transfer and/or Western Union. We are also able to accept PayPal .
Egypt Entrance Visa
Upon arrival to Egypt you need to hold a valid passport with at least 6 months validity beyond your scheduled date of departure. Most countries have the ability to obtain a visa upon arrival for US Dollars 25 per passport. It is suggested that you check with your local Egyptian Consulate before departure if you can obtain a visa on arrival or not.

Extra’s To Program
All our Egypt tours include the sites as per the program however we do not include the special sites within these; such as entering inside the Pyramids, the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum, enter Tomb of Tutankhamen and others. There should always be sufficient time to visit these sites; please liaise with your Egyptologist at the beginning of the tour. They will try their best to provide you with the accurate information advise you of the extra costs and obtain the tickets for you.
